What is Google OAuth?

Google OAuth lets you sign in to Granite using your existing Google account. No separate password needed.

How It Works

1. Click Sign in with Google

   On the login page, click the Sign in with Google button

2. Select Your Google Account

   If you have multiple Google accounts, select the one you want to use

3. Authorize Granite

   Google asks you to authorize Granite to access your basic profile:

   • Email address
   • Name
   • Profile picture
4. Redirected to Dashboard

   After authorization, you’re automatically signed into Granite

What Granite Accesses

When you sign in with Google, Granite receives:

Data	Purpose
Email	Identify your account
Name	Display in the UI
Profile picture	Show your avatar

Granite does not access your Gmail, Drive, Calendar, or any other Google services.

• Sign in with your work email
• IT admins can manage access

Troubleshooting

Popup blocked

• Allow popups for app.getgranite.ai
• Try a different browser
• Disable popup blockers temporarily

Wrong Google account

• Click the account selector during sign-in
• Or sign out of Google and try again
• Use incognito mode to force account selection

Authorization error

• Clear browser cookies
• Try incognito mode
• Contact support if persists

Can't use Google OAuth

Your organization may have disabled Google OAuth. Use magic link instead.

Switching Methods

You can switch between magic link and Google OAuth anytime:

• Use whichever is convenient
• Same account either way
• Both link to your email address

Use Google OAuth when you need quick access. Use magic link if Google is unavailable or blocked.
